The folks at Joystiq used this image today in their daily commentary about Nintendo printing money. The story isn’t news, but the picture made me want to cry. So I decided to share. “Enjoy”.
My EYES...
OK, the original Star Tropics has been on the Wii’s Virtual Console for a while, but today you can get the sequel to complete the set. If you never had the chance as a kid to check out this (for its time) amazing action-adventure title about a boy and his yo-yo, deeew eeet.
We’re recovering from all the holiday “joy”, and hope you are enjoying a long weekend.
Get anything nice?

Are you sad because you can’t get the Yule Log Channel this year? Fret not – the wacky users of XNA have programmed an ever-burning piece of dead tree for your holiday enjoyment. For only 400 Microsoft Points you can have a bit of Christmas cheer forever, without the ash!
Snap, crackle, pop.
The Weiner is crying. Squeenix has confirmed that the Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 has been delayed until an unspecified “Spring 2009” release. Add at least 6 months to that for a North American release and you’re probably looking at holiday 2009 for more Disney/Squeenix fun.
Can you achieve your way out?
From Armor Games comes Achievement Unlocked, a deceptive puzzler platformer where the achievement is the game.
We played it for a while and were really entranced. It’s more than just a fun comment on achievements. The first half or so are easy to get, but after that you have to puzzle out what the game wants you to do to complete the level. It’s a Flash game, and 100% free, so check it out.
Updates 1.06 and 1.07 for Sony’s Little Big Planet are available, much to the relief of online players.
1.06 focuses on moderation, giving creators the chance to work on unpublished levels that have been moderated offline, and provide explanations to those creators whose work has been taken down.
1.07 is all about shopping. Enter the Little Big Store – a place for all of your DLC on one shiny planet. Get your free Christmas swag there today!
Sad news for Mac gamers – Austin-based Aspyr Media, the folks who keep porting us our Sims and more, just announced layoffs and cutbacks of up to one third of their staff. All of their 2009 projects ate still slated for completion, but for some hardworking families, it is not going to be a merry Christmas.
